The .art domain entered the phase of free registration (General Availability) exactly four years ago – on May 10, 2017, and it marked this day as its birthday. It has come a long way since then and it looks like it has a very interesting future.
Donuts Inc. is the largest registry in terms of new domain extensions. In total, they take care of more than 240 nTLDs (over 4.6 million registered in total). Many of them are also popular among Czechs and Slovaks and are hosted by us. Now our customers can also transfer them to us.
Since the early morning hours of Monday 05.04.2021, our website and our infrastructure have been the target of very strong DDoS attacks, so strong that it is probably the strongest DDoS attack in the Czech Republic to date. We quietly launched the WEDOS WebSite service in a test run at the end of January 2021. Then in February we started with a light promotion and gradually added promised features such as a contact form. At the end of March, the service is fully functional after a number of modifications and we are fine-tuning the details. But we have other big plans for her.

We have been preparing for the launch of WEDOS Cloud for a long time. Not only was there software development and extensive hardware testing, but we also looked at legal and security issues and how to incorporate all of this into the modern world.
Since we had already spent so much time on it, we thought it would be worthwhile to have some independent confirmation, so we started working on getting the ISO 27017 and ISO 27018 certifications, which we successfully obtained on 16.03.2021.
