On 26-28.10.2011 we are organizing together with FUJITSU company Open Days WEDOS 2011 in Hluboká nad Vltavou, where you will have the opportunity to see our datacenter, but also the technologies we use and at the same time will be presented the production of FUJITSU company whose servers we use.

Datacentre and its tour
9:00-17:00 every day (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) – tours of the WEDOS Data Centre
The Datacentre will offer guided tours of the interior in groups of 10 people every 30 minutes. These will be pre-booked appointments. The estimated time of the tour is about 30-40 minutes plus time for refreshments, questions and discussion with WEDOS technicians and staff or partners and exhibitors.
In the WEDOS Datacentre you will see the internal areas, offices, company facilities, server room and just over 100 top-of-the-range FUJITSU servers. You will be able to see a motor-generator or a UPS, you will also see in detail the FM200 stable gas extinguishing system. Next, you will see the entire FUJITSU server product line, which you will be able to see in detail (even disassembled). You will see an exhibition of historical computer technology, the development line of Intel processors, a silicon wafer used for the production of processors and many other interesting and unique exhibits.
Each visitor will receive vouchers for entry to the Hluboká State Castle http://www.zamek-hluboka.eu/ and the Hluboká Zoo http://www.zoo-ohrada.cz (plus the Ohrada Hunting Castle http://www.nzm.cz/ohrada/ ) on the dates indicated.
Lectures
The event includes lectures designed as a short introduction to the subject plus a discussion on the topic. The authors and speakers will be available after the lecture for any discussion with serious candidates. After the lecture, you can ask anything else you are interested in about the subject.
FUJITSU’s product line (workstations, laptops and tablets) of office equipment, including selected servers, will be on display in the hall (servers will be complete in the Datacentre).

– support for interesting startup projects frome by WEDOS In case of interest, we offer the possibility of presenting interesting projects that WEDOS can then support, for example, with technical background or its experience in the field of Internet business.The program will be specified according to the actual interest and would take place between 10:00-13:00 directly in the WEDOS Data Centre. It would be short presentations of individual startup projects that may be interested in cooperation with WEDOS.
Lecture halls
We have prepared a small (for about 20-25 people) and a large (for about 80-100 people) lecture hall. If there is more interest in the lectures we are planning for the small hall, we can arrange another larger hall.

Mini golf tournament for the WEDOS Cup

If there are golf fans, we can organize a big golf tournament. It is played in all weathers. The tournament would (if there are enough people interested) take place on 28.10.2011. Dinner together
If more participants will be accommodated at Hluboká, we would like to organize a joint dinner on 26.10.2011. During this dinner it would not only be possible to eat :-), but above all to have an informal chat and discuss everything of interest. We need feedback from our current or potential clients.

Transport and parking
By car
Hluboká nad Vltavou is about 8 km north of České Budějovice. By car, you can get to Hluboká nad Vltavou by coming either from České Budějovice (Hrdějovice or around Bavorovice), from Plzeň, from Týn nad Vltavou or then from Tábor. If you come from Tábor or from České Budějovice via Hrdějovice, you have to cross the bridge to the centre of Hluboká nad Vltavou.
Our datacentre is located in the city centre, on one-way Masarykova Street, in the courtyard of the Czech Post Office.
Free parking will be provided for all visitors at the central car park in Hluboká nad Vltavou, which is about 100 metres away.
By bus
By bus you can reach Hluboká quite comfortably from various directions, but most often from České Budějovice. The journey takes 20-35 minutes (depending on the number of stops). From České Budějovice there is also public transport to Hluboká – connection number 4.
For a proper performance, please request a stop at Pod kostelem.
By train
There are 2 train stations in Hluboká nad Vltavou. One is on the route České Budějovice – Prague and the other on the route České Budějovice – Pilsen. Both stations are about 2.5 km from the centre of Hluboká (where WEDOS is) and if you cannot find a suitable bus connection, please contact us and we will arrange transport from the station to the event.
