In the article The Year of Safety and Progress at WEDOS we mentioned the most important projects for the first half of 2020. After reading this article, one of our small development team, who was in charge of a project we called WEDOS Builder, came to us and asked why their project wasn’t there, that they had it almost done and would be happy to bet us that they would do a beta test by the end of the month. They won 😲
Today we have just started the .SK domain promotion, which we are organizing in cooperation with the Slovak registry SK-NIC. We are currently an accredited registrar of .CZ, .EU, .SK and .PL domains. We have been considering becoming an accredited registrar ourselves for other extensions for some time. We would be able to help our customers faster and better in many ways. It would also open up new marketing opportunities for us and of course better prices. We recently took the first big step – we started the ICANN accreditation process.

Our second datacentre DC2, which we call “Bunker”, is basically finished. Inside, rather minor construction work is underway to prepare the building for normal operation. We are only waiting for the papers to be approved.
A few days ago the number of users of our community website help.wedos.cz exceeded 4 thousand. It’s evident in the activity. There were 524 queries in October, which is just under 17 per day.

This year we are gradually catching up with a lot of rest. The long-awaited WMS service is already being intensively tested by dozens of beta testers, we have also launched a closed beta test of WEDOS Cloud, DC2 is already completed and we are gradually starting to prepare for the first infrastructure tests. However, one big thing is still missing and that is to prepare a new repository.
