What you (can’t) pay for at WEDOS

At the beginning of the year, we significantly strengthened the parameters of the NoLimit service, especially in terms of computing power. This was especially appreciated by customers using content management systems with larger databases and customers whose websites are visited by a large number of visitors on a spur-of-the-moment basis. And it shows. The number of service cancellations due to “dissatisfaction with performance/speed” dropped almost 4 times. But it’s not just about increasing the parameters. Behind it are changes and advances that most customers are unaware of.

NoLimit transfer from old servers to new servers has been completed

At the end of 2017, we started using a completely new solution for NoLimit. Everything has moved to the cloud and new servers, where efficient processors no longer mean a lower CPU frequency, but that they run and consume electricity according to the current required performance (they can underclock and overclock). In addition, a proxy server was built in front of the webservers that could automatically cache frequently used content.

Holiday to do list or what we are working on now

The holiday season is characterised by lower user activity on the Internet. We can see this in our company by the fact that the pressure on customer and technical support is decreasing. Our statistics show that people just enjoy relaxing and don’t sit in front of computers as much. We always take advantage of this period to move forward with a lot of projects, improve the infrastructure and finish some of the rest. Plus, this year the Czechs decided to start enjoying themselves earlier and so June was a little bit of July for us 🙂

Christmas at WEDOS and how this year has been a mess

Our CML (Central Monitoring Logs) system continuously collects data from all servers and other devices on our network and evaluates it in real time. This is 600 – 700 GB of data per day. It serves primarily for the purpose of tracking down errors and problems. However, we also use them for our protection, for example. But what if we made them into an infographic?
