On Saturday (21.08.2021) we sent out invitations to the General Meeting to several hundred small shareholders of WEDOS Internet, a.s. There is a very nice surprise waiting for them in the form of a proposal to pay the first dividend of our company.
The holiday season is characterised by lower user activity on the Internet. We can see this in our company by the fact that the pressure on customer and technical support is decreasing. Our statistics show that people just enjoy relaxing and don’t sit in front of computers as much. We always take advantage of this period to move forward with a lot of projects, improve the infrastructure and finish some of the rest. Plus, this year the Czechs decided to start enjoying themselves earlier and so June was a little bit of July for us 🙂

When designing services, we think first and foremost about automation, as this is the basis for rapid growth and selling a large number of services at the lowest possible price. From ordering and paying for the service, to setting up, upgrading, activating additional services and cancelling the service, everything is done automatically. When you move to a cloud infrastructure, your service can even automatically change physical servers based on the current load to avoid congestion. Automation does everything faster, safer and more efficiently than humans. This is our vision, which we have been successful in achieving so far.
We knew from the start that if we were going to offer quality services at the best prices, all we needed to do was take care of the promotion. One of the best ways to do this is through the experience of our customers, which is why wedos.as was created. Our commission system through which you can promote our services. Those who use and recommend us have already earned more than 19 million CZK in commissions.

The .art domain entered the phase of free registration (General Availability) exactly four years ago – on May 10, 2017, and it marked this day as its birthday. It has come a long way since then and it looks like it has a very interesting future.
Donuts Inc. is the largest registry in terms of new domain extensions. In total, they take care of more than 240 nTLDs (over 4.6 million registered in total). Many of them are also popular among Czechs and Slovaks and are hosted by us. Now our customers can also transfer them to us.
Since the early morning hours of Monday 05.04.2021, our website and our infrastructure have been the target of very strong DDoS attacks, so strong that it is probably the strongest DDoS attack in the Czech Republic to date. We have prepared technical background and charts for this attack. This is just to let you know what can commonly happen on the Czech Internet.
