After February, which we spent meeting with suppliers, we now have to evaluate the offers and decide which technologies to choose. We will also go to the CeBIT fair in Hannover, where we will be able to experience the technologies for our datacenter.
What we did in February
- we worked on the application for building permit, the construction company and the structural engineer prepared the building project
- we had about 30 business meetings with potential suppliers, introduced them to our project, clarified the technology requirements, obtained a lot of information about their products, discussed the possibilities of solving our requirements
- completed the development of the DNS system
- worked on the development of other information systems for domain and hosting services
- we have taken care of these pages
- have begun negotiations with the authorities
What awaits us in March
- We will visit the CeBIT trade fair in Hannover – here we will have the opportunity to “touch” various modern technologies that we have so far had the opportunity to see only on leaflets and suppliers’ websites, perhaps we will discover completely new solutions, soak up knowledge. All of this will give us a better picture of the technologies and improve our decision-making when choosing them. We’ll be sure to bring you a report on our visit to Hannover.
- Launching the DNS system into test operation – first only for some of our domains, then for the public (we expect this to happen in the second half of March, at the latest in early April).
- Evaluating offers from suppliers, selecting technologies, specifying our requirements.
- Negotiations with authorities, dealing with building permits.
- Work on information and ordering systems.
