Up-to-date information about our infrastructure, datacenter equipment, hardware, connectivity and other technologies

Technological background

  • our own building (840m2 of usable area) in Hluboká nad Vltavou in the Czech Republic
  • space of 330 m2 for about 130 rack cabinets size 46+3U, capacity for about 6000 servers, partly underground (former fallout shelter)
  • double floors
  • FM200 gas stable fire extinguishing system
  • air conditioning with emphasis on freecooling
  • backup power supplies 2x UPS 120 kVA
  • backup diesel generator 220 kVA with fully automatic operation
  • 2 independent power supply circuits, server protection in small groups, current protectors, multilevel surge protectors
  • offices on the floor above, round-the-clock service and supervision
  • cameras, access system via RFID cards
  • on-site warehouse with all spare parts for immediate replacement of broken components

Connectivity

The O2 switchboard is located directly in our building, through which the fibre optic backbone network passes. This gives us virtually unlimited and high-quality connectivity at our fingertips. We are also using optical routes from ČD-Telematika.

  • 4 independent optical routes – 3x 10 Gbps, 1x 1 Gbps(transmission graphs)
  • 4 Internet connectivity providers – Kaora, ČD-Telematika, Master Internet, Superhosting
  • own autonomous system (AS197019) and IP addresses
  • fully redundant 10 Gbps backbone network (double star)
  • routers based on Linux Debian, routing daemon BIRD
  • full IPv6 support
  • we do not distinguish between the Czech Republic vs. the world, we do not measure, we do not limit

Web hosting

Web hosting services run on Fujitsu BX920 S2 blade servers , each with the following configuration:

  • 2x Intel Xeon L5630 processor – 16 threads in total, power saving series
  • 36 GB DDR3 RAM
  • 2x SAS 146 GB, RAID 1 (system)
  • redundant power supply
  • Linux CentOS 6.3 operating system

We use disk arrays as data storage for web hosting data Fujitsu Eternus DX60 :

  • Up to 24 600GB 15k SAS drives in RAID 6
  • 2 controllers
  • redundant power supply
  • connection to blade servers via iSCSI

Virtual servers

We use servers on VPS Fujitsu RX300 with the configuration:

  • 1x Intel Xeon E5-2650L 1.80 GHz processor – 16 threads in total, power saving series
  • 72 GB DDR3 RAM
  • 2x SATA 2 TB, RAID 1 (system)
  • 4x SAS 600 GB, RAID 10 (VPS data)
  • redundant power supply
  • Linux CentOS 6.3 operating system, KVM virtualization technology

WEDOS Disk

The WEDOS Disk service runs on disk arrays Fujitsu Eternus DX80 :

  • Up to 120 nearline SAS 3 TB 7.2k drives in RAID 5+0, 270 TB per array
  • 2 controllers
  • redundant power supply
  • connection via SAS interface

Dedicated servers

For dedicated servers, we stock RX100 and RX200 servers with various hard drives, processors and RAM 1 – 24 GB (with the possibility of increasing).

Datacentre online – webcam footage

Webcam Datacentre WEDOS

On the webcam you can see a view of a part of our datacenter – it is a data hall for customer servers. Just for the sake of completeness, we would like to add that the hall is almost 33 metres long, which of course you cannot tell from the pictures. Click on the image to go to the webcam footage page.

In the camera shots you can see red pressure vessels with fire extinguishing gas FM 200m (the vessels are about 180cm high), under the ceiling afire detection suction system (the same is also under the floor), on the left grey indoor air conditioning units (90 kW each). At the very back (more than 30m away) are rack cabinets with servers.
