If you subscribe to our email newsletter, you received a longer than usual one in December. It contained a summary of things that went well, things that didn’t go well, and things that we are planning. A year of security and progress lies ahead…
We have had another successful year of growth, development and implementation of many ideas that have moved not only us, but also the Czech Internet a step further. With a great team, we work on so many projects at once that sometimes it feels like we’re not moving at all, but you can just see the progress.
We regularly write about upcoming services such as WMS, WEDOS Cloud or B2B/VIP. However, these are more or less at the door. Specifically for WMS, we are fine-tuning the final details for the public beta test and expect to launch the service in August. WEDOS Cloud is stuck on a few small issues that the engineers will soon resolve and we are testing the final details. The new B2B/VIP is already in test operation. As far as the WEDOS 2 Datacentre is concerned, they are already finishing the works there so that the test operation can start after the holidays. The Datacent WEDOS 1 upgrade has successfully completed the first part of two. But what’s next? 😉
Hardly a week goes by without someone asking how to buy WEDOS shares. Every month we get a call from a serious buyer interested in buying the whole WEDOS. Now, as the majority owner, I will explain how it is.

We based WEDOS on services that suit most people, as much automation as possible and the ability to set up everything you need. Thanks to this model, we recently broke the 100,000 active NoLimit web hosts mark. We used to say that we are such a big web hosting factory. We have always claimed that our services can suit 98% of all potential customers. But I’m somewhere different now than I was five years ago, and we’re considering offering B2B/VIP services. Our customers are evolving and growing and we need to respond.
So it’s been eight years since we officially launched WEDOS. Since then we have come a long way together and changed the Czech hosting market beyond recognition. Yet we still feel that we are just getting started. This is largely due to the new technologies that we are testing and gradually deploying, the ever-growing team of skilled people who are passionate about trying new things, and the construction of the second datacentre, which is still forcing us to think differently. Everything just smells so new 🙂
But let’s take it in order, what has changed in the last year.

Dear WEDOS customers and fans. Over the last 8 years we have changed the Czech web hosting market beyond recognition and we are definitely not stopping 😉
But we are also changing ourselves. We are improving our internal procedures, switching to new and more modern solutions, and constantly striving to automate individual processes even more and better. But you can’t see most of it, and we’d like to show you.
So far, we have been reporting news from behind the scenes of WEDOS mainly on social media. However, in the last year, we have the feeling that social networks are running out of breath and sometimes we cannot communicate everything through them as we would like.
That’s why we decided to start this blog, where all the information from behind the scenes will be put together and no third party will interfere with it. It will also to some extent replace datacentrum.wedos.com, where we have published longer articles so far.
Dear WEDOS customers and fans, we would like to introduce you to the new WEDOS Antispam, which we deployed at the beginning of September. It has significantly reduced the number of spam inboxes and will ensure that spam is a rare exception in the future.
